MREA is featuring a new deep-dive workshop at its 2016 Annual Conference, “Making Teaching Matter,” held Nov. 13-15 near Brainerd. Member districts can send teams of at least two individuals to participate in a three-session workshop to prepare their district for its QComp application process.

Dive into QComp/ATPPS

The “QComp/ATPPS Deep Dive” workshop will be hosted by the Minnesota Department of Education and Education Minnesota. Workshop facilitators will guide district teams to help them analyze and align their Teacher Development & Evaluation (TDE) and QComp plans to prepare for the application process. District teams must include at least one teacher and one administrator.

The workshop runs Monday of the conference concurrently during other conference breakout sessions, yet enables workshop participants to join all other conference activities.

Participation in the workshop is limited, so teams should enroll soon:

• Individuals who are already registered for the conference and want to enroll in the workshop with their team can edit their conference schedules to select the workshop. The schedule is accessible through the confirmation email received after registration.
