See how we’re making an impact.

A grassroots organization, MREA was founded in 1985 by a group of school board members and administrators who believed that non-metro school districts needed a clearer voice in St. Paul and every student deserved a voice.

MREA focuses on delivering these key values to members:

  • Provide a unified voice for administrators, school boards and teachers to support rural education.
  • Promote networking and collaboration among Greater Minnesota school boards, administrators and teachers.
  • Put the education, growth and development of learners first.
  • Use technology as a key to a 21st Century education.

MREA is an inclusive member organization that includes school districts, education agencies, and community members. Become a Member. View a listing of MREA members.
